How to Measure Search engine Rankings

So you have a web site.  How do you track the progress of your site and determine weather or not it is working for you?

www.webceo.com is free software that will allow you to run some fantastic reports. I won't post any of my reports here but I can email you one if you are interested.  I have extremely high rankings and huge numbers in search engines.  My sites are very powerful.

Measure your rankings for keywords in all major search engines.

Count the links inside search engines.  Get an exact count.  This is very important.  If you have 1 that is fine, but 1,000 is much better.  Wouldn't you rather have 1,000 business locations to sell your product and services?

Compare your competition sites against yours.  See what their sites are doing and make changes to improve yours or use it for bragging rights.

You really need to know if your site is really superior to your competition.

This software will also teach you about things the search engines want to achieve top rankings.

Study the most widely used keyword search terms for your market area.  Don't be fooled by companies that will sell you guaranteed search engine rankings for specific keywords.  That is easy.  I have some I can guarantee too and charge you tons of money for but they are ones in your area that people may only search for 1 time a month.

There is only one method to get to the top and stay on the top.

Good Content updated daily on your home page.

User retention

Age of web site

Web site coding that the search engines can read.

Keywords loaded in the text and overall set up of the site.

Proper title and description in the back end coding.

XML feeds and RSS feeds that the search engines can read. Feed them with what they want.

Tell everyone that you have a site.  Ask them to use it.

Then the most important thing.

Ask them if they used your site and get some feedback.  If things are unclear or need changed then make those changes.

Remember you will never know if someone is using your site unless you ask.  Have you ever asked?  You will be amazed at what they say.

Then get the Google.com Analytics tracking on your site so you can see reports like this.  Here are a couple views of current data for the last 30 days for a small 50 agent office site.

IDX Framing VS Complete IDX Site

Would you like to see a direct comparison between framing your MLS IDX solution provided from your MLS System and something created by http://www.my-mlsonline.com/

 Visit http://www.lynnrasmussen.com/

Do a property search.  You will find it difficult.  The frame that the IDX sits in limits everything.

 Now his new site.

will look like this after the change.

http://www.my-mlsonline.com/idaho/Clean?agent=5011

Which one is easier to use?

Total custom solution.  http://www.rasmussenrealestateco.com is an office site built around the IDX.

www.my-mlsonline.com costs $24.99 a month

the other costs much much more.

Finding a home is difficult enough without all the extra navigation issues.  Why not simplify things and make it easy to find the property.

Use both systems to search for the same properties and see the difference between them.

Same data, just presented in a different way.

Here are some side by side comparisons.

Either way works but fully integrated gives a much better home buying experience.

Let's Test the Power of Active Rain and Blogs

Would someone please have Chuck Bonamer in Florida Call me?

You may see him in the next few days or weeks at a continuing Ed Class or convention seminar.

He teaches Diversity Training and about Enchiladas and Technology. lol  It used to be "The Whole Enchilada" Many of you have taken that class from him.

I can't believe he doesn't have a profile.

Walk up to him and tell him Brian Blake in Idaho wants him to call. He will get a kick out of it.

I will post the time when He calls the First time.

Flektor Multimedia Presentations

Create your own multimedia presentations and embed them into your blogs and web sites.

I created this in about 3 minutes.  I added images, then one of my TV comercials and picked the templates and transitions and I was done.  It is quick and easy.  Why not create your own TV commercials on all your properties.  Simply take small video clips of the property with your digital camera video feature and upload them to their system.

It is free and easy.  Try it out.

All my systems will allow the embeding of this type of presentation.

Youtube.com Video Marketing

Would you like to add video capabilities to your site?

Here is the code...

http://videobox-lb.sourceforge.net/

Your end result will be something like this...

http://my-mlsonline.com/tucson/Clean/?page=core/vids&agent=148030746&Catagory=Things%20To%20Do&userID=&tm=index2&hd=core/header&nav=core/nav2&lfn=core/left-nav2&ft=core/footer

Notice that the video you link to can be from http://www.youtube.com/ or http://video.google.com/ or from http://www.metacafe.com/

It will float the video above your page.

Users don't leave your site and you can link to any video you find on youtube or the others.

Great way to show your community or your own videos you have posted on those sites.

Create accounts and put your tv commercials online.

Ray Sabala does...

http://www.twinfallssubdivisions.com/

http://www.rasmussenrealestateco.com/

http://www.willisandjillstone.com/  do too.
